Sherrill qualifies for NCAA

Faith Sherrill qualified for the NCAA championship meet in the shot put at the East Prelims on Thursday in Greensboro, N.C. Sherrill posted a throw of 17.21m (56-5.25), which was the second-best throw in the competition and is number two on the Division I list this season. Sherrill advances to the NCAA championships in two weeks in Eugene, Ore. She will compete in the hammer throw Friday and the discus Saturday.
