Some things never change, no matter where Deshaun Thomas may be playing.

The Bishop Luers senior forward was there before the McDonald's All-American game at Ohio State (Thomas' future college home) with his headphones on in his white warmups.

Another mainstay at Thomas' games during his four years with the Knights was seeing his middle-school coach, Les Howard, on the sidelines watching almost every game.

Now Howard wasn't in his usual spot right off the edge of the court -- he was on the railing just above the first level at Value City Arena.

No word yet whether Thomas ate his typical pregame meal of a Snickers bar and a banana.
