Work set for Coliseum Blvd. bridge at park

FORT WAYNE – Lane restrictions begin next week on North Anthony and Coliseum boulevards as construction gets underway on the Coliseum Boulevard bridge over the St. Joe River at Johnny Appleseed Park.

The Fort Wayne Traffic Engineering Department announced Thursday that beginning Monday there will be lane restrictions between 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. for the westbound inside lane of Coliseum from Crescent Avenue to H.W. Baals Drive.

It said there will also be a lane restriction for one northbound left turn lane on Anthony Boulevard to Coliseum.

Primco Inc. will construct a temporary bridge on the inside westbound lane of Coliseum for the bridge and trail improvement project, the announcement said.

The work is expected to last through the end of the month.
